Dental Students to Give Kids a Smile Feb. 21 min read
Ann Arbor, MI — January 15, 2013 — Dental and dental hygiene students and faculty from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry will be providing free oral health care services to children ages 5 to 12 on Saturday, Feb. 2, as part of the American Dental Association’s annual nationwide program, Give Kids a Smile.
The event takes place on the second floor of the School of Dentistry, 1011 N. University Avenue, on the Central Campus. Doors open for registration at 8:00 a.m. A child must be registered by a parent or guardian.
Children will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 9:00. An appointment is not necessary. Because of the time and resources, services will only be provided to the first 100 patients. Registration will close after the first 100 patients are registered.
Supervised by faculty, dental and dental hygiene students will provide teeth cleanings, sealants, X-rays, and simple fillings.
Free parking will be available on the upper level of the Fletcher Street parking structure adjacent to the School of Dentistry.
Give Kids a Smile is hosted by the U-M School of Dentistry. For more information, call the U-M School of Dentistry at (734) 763-6933 or (888) 707-2500.
