Using Adult Cells to Grow Bone1 min read

Ann Arbor, MI — April 2, 2013 — During the next year, University of Michigan School of Dentistry researchers plan to recruit 50 patients who need a tooth extraction and a dental implant and then use the cells collected from the patients to see if it’s possible to grow bone.  The specialized adult stem cells are known as VSELs, meaning “very small embryonic-like stem cells.”
