Grover in New ADA Leadership Role1 min read

Ann Arbor, MI — March 13, 2013 — Dr. Jane Grover (DDS 1979, MSPH 1988) has been named to a leadership role within the American Dental Association.  Next month she will become the director of the Council on Access, Prevention, and Interprofessional Relations (CAPIR).  The Council is a unit within the ADA’s Division of Government and Public Affairs.

In her role, Grover will lead, direct, and manage ADA activities in areas of access to dental care, fluoridation and caries prevention as well as seeking opportunities to integrate oral health with systemic health.

Grover has served as dental director for the Center for Family Health, a federally qualified health center in Jackson, Michigan.  She has been active in organized dentistry as a trustee of the Michigan Dental Association and a member of the ADA’s Strategic Planning Committee.  She chaired the ADA’s Political Action Committee and served two years as an ADA vice president.

“I’m looking forward to this new challenge,” Grover said.  “It is an honor to serve in this position since CAPIR plays an important role helping the ADA serve as a leading advocate for oral health.”

Dr. Kathleen O’Loughlin, executive director and chief operating officer of the ADA, said Grover “is an excellent addition to our staff” and added that she also “brings a wide breadth of experience and knowledge to this very important position.”
